Most new trailers, caravans and bike racks now use a single 13 pin socket, instead of the 7 pin types still fitted to most vehicles. This quality adaptor from Ring allows you to plug the 13 plug on the trailer into the 12N 7 pin socket on your car so you’ll have all your lights (minus fog and reverse that work of the 12S socket)

This plugs into the 12N socket, and will not power the charging system and live from the vehicle to run caravans etc, or the reverse and fog lights as these run from the 12S socket.
